Visionbytes is a 100% Australian owned and operated company, and is at the forefront of research, development and implementation of deep audio and video search technology that enables the delivery of media management solutions. We have assembled an exceptionally talented technical team with expertise in areas such as analysis algorithms, biometrics, Digital Rights Management (DRM), Audio and Video encoding, compression, storage and management techniques. In 2007 Visionbytes was awarded the Tender to provide metadata enhanced services and technology to the Oral History department of the The Australian National Library. This innovative solution converts the Oral History of Australia into a fully searchable digital archive.
One of our latest clients is ABC TV. The ABC licensed our platform delivering technologies which will transform existing analogue production processes into an innovative cross platform production system, underpinned by Visionbytes VisionScriptor and XML Transcriber applications.
Visionbytes and nineMSN started working together in 2005 to deliver a unique content archiving and media search solution. The completely automated Media Monitoring solution works by providing ninemsn users with refined and specific search capabilities that can be used to view selected media, streamed from the ninemsn web site and also transcoded to mobile phones. As well as substantially increasing the amount of video available, the ninemsn audience will also be able to tailor TV content by giving them the ability to watch only the segments of a program that are of interest to them, when it suits them.
Visionbytes licensed its Visionbytes Platform™ to Southern Star – Australia’s largest television producer and distributor, and the 9th largest in the world. Southern Star has consistently relied on Visionbytes’ expertise and experience in determining which path it should adopt for its digital future.
Visionbytes was successful in licensing the Visionbytes Platform to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly (NSWLA) as part of a solution for the production and distribution of a Visionbytes-developed product known as Video Hansard. Through advanced metadata creation tools and techniques, Visionbytes is able to link any word in the official Hansard text with the corresponding video of NSWLA proceedings.
Visionbytes was awarded an AusIndustry R&D START Grant for the development of a new revolutionary search technology that is metadata driven Visionbytes believes that this project has further established the company’s leadership position in delivering value-added metadata enabled solutions to clients.
Visionbytes won a major tender issued by the Federal Parliamentary Library and subsequently licensed the Visionbytes Platform to the Library as part of a major digital video acquisition, management and distribution system which will revolutionise their media monitoring division. The project involved providing a fully digital media capture, distribution and delivery system for the Australian Parliament’s media monitoring requirements. This tender – the most significant issued in the area of media monitoring over recent years - was responded to by more than 15 Australian and international bidders including some of the largest names in IT services, storage and software. The fact that Visionbytes was the selection committee’s unanimous choice in winning this project demonstrates the superior nature of Visionbytes solutions.
Visionbytes was awarded the contract to investigate a high-speed network research project for the Australian Sports Commission. Subsequently Visionbytes have developed “High Speed Sport Australia” which revolutionises the way that coaches and performance staff share information from all parts of Australia. Utilising GrangeNET, a government funded high speed network, Visionbytes licensed the Visionbytes Platform and customised a solution that enables coaches to share up to the minute training, race and performance related data with other coaches all around Australia.
